Forget the CIA, the FBI and the Department of Defense - the fate of national security has been entrusted to a gorgeous and volatile trio of convicted felons. Not since J. Edgar Hoover have crime-fighters looked this good in black spiked heels. Meet Cassie, DD and Shane, the thieving threesome plucked from prison by a clandestine government organization and given a choice: either to spend their best years under lock and key or to enlist with the good guys, putting their considerable criminal talents to more patriotic use. Working for the very feds that put them away, the career con-girls have turned their backs on their former lives, waging weekly war on the lowliest of the world's sleaze and scumbags. Armed with sleek moves, street smarts and enough attitude to make a sailor blush, these bad girls gone good make the Navy Seals look like the Coast Guard and make the Coast Guard look like the Girl Scouts.
But a cloud of uncertainty hangs over our spunky spies. Meet Mr. Cross. A former top field agent with a reputation for results, Cross has been brought in to reign in the lethal ladies, who the government feels have been allowed a bit too much latitude in the execution of their duties. Though a key supporter of the She Spies program, Cross feels that the girls' covert capabilities have been under-utilized. Under his direction, the felonious females find themselves facing tougher and more tenacious adversaries, where the stakes are high and the risks are huge. Armed with the latest high-tech weaponry and vehicles, you can forget about the penny-ante punks the sassy spies are used to chasing . . . bring on the big boys of bad.
Also joining the team is Duncan Ballew, a brilliant (if sheepish) MIT dropout and official outfitter of the girls' hi-tech hardware. Duncan, a committed and proficient techno-geek, is thoroughly smitten with the spies, harboring a certain desperate and unrequited crush on each of them. But don't let his doe-eyes fool you, Duncan is a master craftsman and sees to it that "his girls" are equipped with an arsenal of the very latest in high tech gadgetry.
Alone they were common criminals. Together they are crime's greatest adversary. It's a bad time to be a bad guy.
